Site Figures builds on rankings that measure real browser page loads, so the ordering is sound. Every figure comes with the range it plausibly sits in and a confidence score from 1 to 10, rather than a single number presented as fact. For a site that appears in both the global and national rankings the estimate typically lands within a factor of two.

Any public domain can be checked. Sites below a certain traffic level are not included in public rankings at all, and for those only an upper bound is given, which still tells you the site is small.

Monthly page views divided by one thousand, multiplied by the RPM you choose. The default is eight dollars per thousand page views. Real ad revenue depends heavily on topic, country and ad setup, so adjust the RPM to match the site.

Most free tools report organic search traffic only, which excludes direct visits, apps, newsletters and social referrals. Site Figures estimates total traffic, so its figures are higher for sites with a loyal returning audience.
